An exhibition for Art Week Exeter at the Maketank unit, 5 Paris Street (opposite Next)  from June 9th to 15th - Open daily from 11am to 5pm. 

 

Our exhibition has a strong Folklore element and includes many different kinds of art and crafts. Teignmouth’s Folk Preservation Society and its maker/members are exhibiting, together with 11 artists and writers, who are displaying their imagery, soft sculptures, textiles, photography and other work. In addition, the show includes poetry, zines & artist books, plus a reprise of Exeter’s Vanished Rock Venues. There is something for everyone!

 

The artist contributors are: Clare Heaton, Jez Winship, Lori Diggle, Matt Thomas (RAAY), Nomi McCleod, Ruth Carpenter, Sam Harrison, Siobhan Martin, Steve Brown (Exeter’s Vanished Rock Venues), Sue Freestone, Whitney-Anne Baker.

The Folk Preservation Society makers are: Crab & Bee, Crazy Tiger, Dartmoor Leather, DMRinDevon, Earthcult, Ethan Pennell, Hedgerow & Dandelion, Off The Hoof, Rima Staines, Sculptworks, Suzi Crockford, Victoria Clarke.
